You did not post the trim line of this car, so I posted all models and tire combination's specified by the manufacture. Any number of owners here have at least one experience where they have bumped the trunk release on the dash or on the key fob and had that sneaky trunk lid pop up ever so slightly turning the light on. I took it in and reported this to the dealer over 3 times to which they said they found nothing wrong. Where does your temperature gauge ride when at normal operating temperature? The guy told me it made a quiet slight ticking sound when running and said it was probably our camshaft. Upon stall the car engaged the E-brake and also lit up the following warning lights : engaged ebrake, oil, battery, and engine. This is the wound connection under the steering wheel, it is a common failure item. I replaced the part and the car ran ok until another time I was stopped at a light and the car turned off again.
The dealer sold me this car as is with no warranty so I can't even call lemon law on it-. The vehicle was towed to a local mechanic where the failure was not diagnosed. Be careful and good luck. Posted on Jun 03, 2010 There are many possible causes of this problem on the convertible Sebrings, the most common problems are as follows; 1 The cargo platform in the trunk is in the wrong position which blocks the rear window from folding downward. I was reading other complaints on this website and decided it was time to write one because this is definitely happening to other people and is a safety issue. There is a built in safety feature, where the window go down slightly as the top starts to open. Another time it stalled while I was going 15 miles per hour. The second trouble spot is the cargo light in the trunk. The recall began on July 20, 2015. If you watch a mechanic that has the old school abilities and is comfortable with today's electronic tools, you'll find he rarely guesses and he uses the tools to pinpoint the issue faster.
Please issue some sort of recall so no one is hurt because of this issue. Using an ammeter at the battery, you start pulling fuses to isolate the circuit s that are pulling the most amps with the car off.
